Our New Sister

After studying for a long time, one of Cheryl’s students decided it was time to commit her life to Christ and was recently  immersed into Him. Kim Sun is a bright young lady who is working to help support her family after her father died and her mother became seriously ill. We believe God has great things in store for Kim Sun and we praise God that this young woman now has a living hope!

A New Church Planted

This November we began meeting for worship in our home. We’ve been averaging about 9-11 people who come each week. About half of these people are Christians, and half of them are interested and trying to learn more about Christ. Of course it’s a blessing to help strengthen the Christians, but this group is also a way to share the joys of being a Christian with those who are seeking. One night, Cheryl and I listened as several of the girls in the photo above sang a Khmer song of praise as they walked away from our home, and into the darkness. Please pray that we can keep that joy alive, and that the precious souls in the photo above will grow in their knowledge and commitment to Christ

Holiday Cheer

Thanksgiving was a little different this year.  I’m accustomed to being so full that I hurt the afternoon after the big meal. But when I woke up in pain Thursday morning, I knew this Thanksgiving wasn’t going to be like the rest. I guess I deserved my tummy ache after foregoing my better judgment and eating some squid the day before. And so, I was unable to eat anything on the very day I was dreaming of Grandma’s Thanksgiving feast. But nevertheless, we had a good day that day. Cheryl and I talked for a long time about all the things we were thankful for. You were high on that list. We thank God for your prayers and support, and we think about you often.

Christmas was equally as different in Cambodia, especially without our families for the first time. But, so many of you were thinking about us and even sent us a reminder that we are in your hearts. Thank you so much for your love and support!
