Garments of Glory
Her name is Kimlee. Her father is dead, and her mother is sick and unable to work. She is very smart—she knows Chinese (in addition to her native Khmer) and is even picking up English very quickly, but her family is too poor to give her an education. Her sisters work long and hard to help support the family, but it’s not enough, so everyday she works 12-16 hours or more sewing in a local garment factory to help put food on the table. She doesn’t get much time off, but she always comes to worship the Lord with us in our home.
She has believed in the Lord for quite some time, but last month she dedicated her life to him and was immersed into Christ in our bath tub. In addition to her commitment, we’re so thankful for her faith and joy. She is always smiling, even though she works long and hard. Her love of God is so evident in her life. Praise God for the light she is and will be to His glory!
Isn’t it wonderful that Kimlee’s life has been enriched by God’s free salvation? She’s been given a robe fit for eternity that no garment factory could ever produce. Please continue to pray for the Christians here, especially Kimlee. Thank you so much for making this work possible through your prayers and support.
